Astronomy Guide
Bryce Silver-Bates
Bryce's passion for astronomy was sparked in elementary school by an astronomy program at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Since then, his love for wild places, dark skies, and science communication has only grown. After spending most of his twenties working for the National Park Service in some of most spectacular places in the West, he feels that hardly anywhere can compete with southern Utah for its display of the natural wonders of the Earth and sky. When he’s not exploring the cosmos through a telescope, Bryce spends his time exploring his favorite planet through hiking, camping, nature photography, and constantly learning more about the plants, animals, and landscapes around us.

Night Sky Photography Assistant
Tanner Londo
Tanner's curiosity of the night sky stems from constantly being outdoors. The most fascinating thing in the sky to Tanner is the Milky Way because of how close but yet so far it is away from us. You can find him outside with his camera capturing the essence of mother nature, through landscapes and the vast multitude of stars.

Night Sky Photography Assistant
Kayla Cole
Kayla loves learning and observing the natural world and, above all (pun intended), her favorite phenomenon to observe is the night sky. She's spent many nights gazing at the stars, tracing out constellations, learning their different cultural stories and depictions, studying the movements of the sun, moon and planets, and pondering time. As a self-proclaimed naturalist, she's been contemplating the mysteries within the depths of our world and the furthest reaches of the universe since her earliest childhood memory. Alongside spending time in nature, she's also a write, artist, and adventurer who enjoys reading, riding her motorcycle, and learning to play the ukelele.

In addition to his current work in speckle interferometry, he has a longstanding research interest in cataclysmic variable stars, and he has published his research in a variety of peer-reviewed journals. A resident of southern Utah, he enjoys hiking through the area’s otherworldly landscapes during his free time.

Operations Manager
Kelly Towsey
Growing up in southern Alberta, Canada, Kelly has always felt at home in the outdoors. Taking pictures of nature has been a hobby of hers since she got her first camera at age 10. In college, she spent a semester abroad in a "small" town in China with about 9 million people. While overall being a stark contrast to her upbringing on the prairies, the difference that stuck out the most was how different the sky was. She spent 5 months in this town and saw only 3 stars in the sky! The first thing Kelly noticed upon returning home was how blue the sky was and how beautiful the stars were. This experience sparked her passion for the night sky. These days, Kelly loves to learn and finds joy in serving those around her.

Astronomy Guide & Operations
Devon Salasin
A love for our home planet and mathematics propelled Devon into the fields of Astronomy, Planetary Science and Astrobiology. Obsessed with the variety of life seen on Earth, she enjoys pondering what extraterrestrial life may be like and whether or not we will ever communicate with others.

She has been guiding guests through the night sky for since 2022, helping humans disconnect from the world we have created and reconnect with that which connects us all, Earth and the cosmos.

Co-Founder & Night Sky Photography Assistant
Kramer Ditty
Kramer's enthusiasm for stars has always been rooted in the science - that we are all made up of stardust. As one who celebrates and recognizes that the universe is much larger than each of us here on Planet Earth, Kramer is often finding ways to capture its grandiosity through music and videography. You will often find him setting the mood, or seeking out the ISS and other celestial objects from above.
